Roy Baliets is both a veteran of Lockheed Aircraft Corporation, and Scaled Composites. He founded Baliets Composites in 1989 with a focus on assisting new start-up companies in the development of innovative composite products. Baliets Composites assists in the devlopment and production of full scale man rated proof of concept and prototype aircraft. He is able to apply this composite technology to marine and automotive transportation vehicles, sports equipment, furniture and in sculpture as shown with his newly released alien busts.
Baliets did contour work on the forward wing on Voyager Aircraft-non refueled world flight. He did the contour and prime laminar flow canard airfoil, select (0.032" thirty two thousand's of an inch lexan/polycarbonate window material and trim/fit (4 each) side windows, installed the micro switches on nose and main landing gear down lock mechanisms then routed and terminated same, fabricated flux flux gate cradle and rout flux gate wiring and leading edge of canard, fare main wing to fuselage aft of main spar, fabricated the oil access cover for aft engine cowling and prepare left boom to accept radio ground plane.
Developed carbon composite pylon adaptor mounts for the Pegasus Rocket to B-52 carrier aircraft. Utilized moldless construction method to fabricate and assemble massive composite pylon structure. Align and installed and mechanically fasten large load bearing metal hard points. Prime exterior surface with UV barrier.Align, install and mechanically fasten hydraulic actuation and mechanical payload release hardware.
