Pu-erh tea is known for its medicinal qualities.
The tea leaves come from the Yunnan Mountains, on the border of Tibet, and is related to the ancient tea tree in pre-glacial times.

Pu-erh Tea

Pu-erh tea is usually aged for a very long time. Up to sixty years is not uncommon. Pu-erh tea has a mellow taste and is sometimes referred to as "earthy". It is excellent for indigestion, diarrea, and in reducing cholesterol. It has a dark brown color when brewed as well as a very distinct aroma and taste.
