Deep within the jungles of Malaysia is one of the most majestic white marble and limestone towers called Gunung Temurung. Concealed within this limestone massif is an intricate system of caves of various dimensions honeycombed inside the limestone hills. These caves are actually a breath taking gallery of stalagmites and stalactites and other amazing rock formations which are superb speleological wonders found only in this part of the world.
On the way to Gua Tempurung
Gua Tempurung, is located in Gopeng, Perak, and can be reached from the North-South Highway by exiting through the Gopeng Interchange (about 25 km south of Ipoh). You then take Federal Route 1 and proceed south about 2 km until Kampung Gunung Mesah. Turn left and drive through the kampung road for about 4 km. This kampung road can support heavy vehicles including buses. As you drive through this kampung area you begin to see the limestone hills in the distance. Approaching the caves is a very mystical experience with the mist hovering above the hills.
The Malaysian rain forest is the oldest rain forest in the world. It is over two and a half million years old and has never been touched by the ice age. Malaysia's tropical rain forest is one of the most complex and rich ecosystems in the world. It is home to about 14,500 species of flowering plants.

I, Willard Van De Bogart , entered this cave in the rain forest on the morning of Dec. 26, 1998. It took 5 and a half hours to go through the entire cave.
Many times I would have to crawl on my hands and knees to fit through the labyrinth of stalagmites and stalactites. Much of the time I was knee high deep in water.
Bats could be heard squealing in the high caverns throughout the cave lending a very surreal atmosphere to the entire experience. The ancient smells told a story all of its own. It was humid and pitch black except for our flashlights.

In the middle of this cave there is a stalagmite over 2 million years old. It stands so tall that it feels like an enormous Earth Guardian.
The "Giant", as the stalagmite is called, points high into the cave, and even the ceiling of the cave is so majestic, and so enormously magnificent that I became totally awe struck, and tears literally came to my eyes.
I felt that I was in the presence of a wise sentient being; an Earth Guardian. I took out my Tibetan bells, and the high pitched ringing resounded in the cave and all became extremely silent. I stood there and tried to listen to what this ancient stalagmite had to say. In some unknown way I was being spoken to. I was being told the history of the Earth, and the absolute divine energy that makes this blue watery planet sit so pristinely in the heavens.
At the base of this ancient stalagmite was a running river. When I shown my flash light into the water small chips of marble reflected back like so many stars in the night sky. I became so transfixed I felt as though I was transported to some other place in the universe. I knelt down and began to pick these small stones from the river bed over and over again.
When I finally reached the exit of the cave and saw the sunlight filter down through the lush jungle greenery, with monkeys and birds frolicking all about, I truly felt I was in God's kingdom. These small stones have never seen the light of day for millions of years. I felt that each one of them bore a message from that ancient giant stalagmite.

I quickly tried to find special pouches for the stones, and I am now going to offer these stones as a precious gift that was given to me to share. To me these stones are priceless reminders of the ancient wisdom on the Earth. I have placed one on my own personal altar , and I have several more to offer. I would not look at the dollar value I am asking for the stones, but more to look at where the stones came from, and the personal message you will receive from the ancient teacher in the Gua Tempurung cave. I realize it is difficult to imagine what it was like inside this cave and the meaning I have attributed to these stones. However, if what I felt was truly a gift from an energy so profound in its nature then I am confident you too will feel that energy.
Also included with each pouch and stone is a small book by Dr. James Wanless. Dr. Wanless has traveled the world studying philosophy and anthropology.
His book "Little Stone" is a treasure to own as it describes how physical objects can be used as tools for personal growth and development. "Little Stone" provides an easy way of understanding ourselves and the natural "way of the earth" path for realizing our gifts and talents, and for manifesting our visions and dreams.
"Little Stone" is the perfect companion for your stone from the cave of Gua Tempurung.
