Shanti Shivani has studied Dhrupad vocal music with the renowned Zia Mohiuddin Dagar, Zia Fariduddin Dagar and Dr. Ritwik Sanyal Benarea. She performs and teaches nada yoga, the yoga of sound, in Europe and the USA.
Michael Kott is a composer/cellist who has appeared in hundreds of recordings and performances, which encompasses a wide range of world music forms. he is know for his skills in melodic improvisation, harmonies and altered tones.

The experience of being with Hafiz and other masters is intimately personal yet reverberates universally. In "Merging", the pure resonance of transformations of Hafiz by Coleman Barks is set to a sublime harp and cello counterpoint with poetry rising as a clear spring through the center.
Track #2 - Drink the Honey
Deep, mystical communing in the center. The Kabir suite, "Drink the Honey," takes us directly into the innermost chamber of the heart to abide there, feeling the soft pulsations of Love's flower.
Track #3 - Growing Wings of Fire
"Growing Wings of Fire". Straight talk with the Beloved at the threshold. Night vigil, purification by fire, final surrender. Magnificent re=creations of Rumi by Andrew harvey addressing that aspect of our spiritual journey which requires checkmating the ego into complete submission to divine will, freeing us into pure adoration, wonder and creative sewrvice. Track #4 - Crystal Reflecting Fire
"Crystal Reflecting Fire", the last track, unfolds in several movements as a creation symphony of consciousness. Truly a magnificent translation by Normandi Ellis of selections from the "Egyptian Pyramid Texts called "The Book of Coming Forth by Day", "Awakening Osiris" focuses on the Egyptian trinity figures Osiris, Isis and Horus. It is an estatic celebration of the mystery of humanity's resurrection and ascention into eternal light. From the strong, sustained first movement with monochord, Tibetan singing bowls and soft percussive through bright cascading resonance of harp and soaring vocals, ovetone harmonics sound and play in our bodytemple/bodycosmos.
