To the Australian Aborigines the world of dreams is as real to them as our world of waking consciousness is to us. They use the phrase "Dreamtime" to refer to that world, a time and place where the cosmos was given shape and meaning. They relate to the Dreamtime in their daily life and base their cosmology for living on it.

Dreamings is based on musical archetypes found within the sphere of the aborigines's world. They use their music to bridge the ordinary world to the Dreamtime and, by crossing over, they heal themselves by connecting with nature and their own basic instincts.

Also, the music presented in this recording features an ancient aboriginal instrument called the didjeridu. The tremendous healing effect of this beautiful instrument is a focus of all four pieces presented on Dreamings.
