From Asklepios College a Ph.D. in Holistic Medicine
We can all feel secure in listening to what Dr. Cantrell has to teach.
This book serves four main purposes:
1. A primer as to what can be accomplished with supplements and natural foods in controlling and curing leukemia.
2. Uncovering, in detail, that which cancer patients are rarely told-the truth about the dangers of chemotherapy. I show how this can be prevented and one can stay one step ahead of the doctor. A cancer patient is seldom given al the facts about their disease or what the therapies will entail in the long run. A leukemia patient will be able to read about what they can expect, and then make ethical decisions.
3. This book reveals just what the body itself is capable of withstanding against the ravages of so-called terminal diseases when the body is fortifies with supplements. My father broke many traditional precedents about a disease orthodox medicine does not understand.
4. Lastly, it portrays the extraordinary poor judgement and care by American oncologists as compared to what can be achieved through alternative medicine.
The care of the cancer patient today in America is a scandalous nightmare and sadly, it is condoned on the very shaky grounds that they havew no cures, or can do nothing more. This is fraud of the highest degree because it is based on medical illiteracy and conceit. We invest millions of dollars in physicians whose concept of biochemistry is crude and infantile compared to the eclectic approach of holistic medicine.
Holistic physicians treat the whole body and stimulate healing through the use of natural means. Most people, when they lose loved ones to cancer, accept it. They may curse orthodox medicine, but they know of no alternatives. I was fortunate enough to see both worlds-orthodox and alternative. This is the story of one family's travels between these two opposing lands of healing.
Comment by webmaster:
This is a captivating and very emotional book about the journey where Dr. Cantrell tried to save her father from the misunderstanding and improper use of anti-biotics in trying to cure her father. It is a tale that is very heart felt and one this webmaster can relate to very well having been in the VA hospital in 1995 with colon cancer. I can testify that the oncologists are prescribing chemotheraphy with little knowledge of what the details of a patients condition is. I refused both radiation and chemotherphy treatments and resorted to holistic methods to cure any remnants of cancer cells in my blood. Through proper nutrition and exercise a strong and healthy body can be achievd, and act as a deterent to a bodily system that has gone out of balance.
Dr. Cantrells's book is an excellent guide to understanding how to make the right decision when it comes to alternative healing methods. I highly reccomend this book for all readers who are concerned for their own health and those of their loved ones.
